Florida Statewide Organization of Omega Psi Phi Hosts 51st Annual State Workshop in Jacksonville, FL

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - EntSun -- Jacksonville, FL — The Florida Statewide Organization of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (FSO) will convene its 51st Annual State Workshop in Jacksonville, Florida, from September 18–21, 2025 at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront. Nearly 500 men of Omega Psi Phi are expected to attend this premier leadership gathering, featuring plenary sessions, training for mandated programs, and critical community discussions on topics such as gun violence prevention and Black men's health.

This year's workshop will be hosted by the Theta Phi Chapter and led by State Marshal Jason Hardwick, which is celebrating its Centennial (1925–2025), marking 100 years of service, scholarship, and brotherhood.

The State Workshop will be preceded by the FSO Day of Service on Saturday, September 13, a call to action for Omega men across the state to unite in service to their communities through one of the fraternity's internationally mandated programs.

On Thursday, September 18, the official opening day of the Workshop, the Florida Statewide Organization will present a full slate of community-centered events:
  • Read to Succeed (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM): Members of Omega Psi Phi will visit Long Branch Elementary and Samuel A. Hull Elementary to read with students and provide books that encourage a lifelong love of learning.
  • Mentoring & S.T.E.A.M. Initiative (afternoon): In partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida, fraternity members will mentor youth at the Citi Teen Center through interactive activities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
  • Community Food Drive (12:00 PM – 3:00 PM): In collaboration with Circle of Caring, this initiative will address food insecurity by distributing resources to local residents while fostering community unity.
  • Public Program (7:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Conference Center A): The official kickoff program will welcome elected officials, community leaders, and members of the Divine 9 for an evening of recognition and inspiration.

On Friday, September 19, the Talent Hunt Program will spotlight gifted young performers from across Florida, with winners earning cash prizes and advancing to the District level for the chance to compete internationally.

The Workshop will conclude its public events on Saturday, September 20, with a Health Fair & Blood Drive from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM, offering free health screenings and an opportunity for attendees to donate blood and help save lives.
