TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ Tallahassee, FL - In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed ten new judges to serve in various judicial circuits across the state of Florida.
Among the appointments is David Arthmann, who will serve as a Judge on the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court. Arthmann brings a wealth of legal experience to the bench, having previously served as the General Counsel for the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles since 2023. He also worked as the Director of Human Resources for the Florida Department of Corrections. Arthmann holds a bachelor's degree from Nova Southeastern University and a juris doctor from Florida State University. He will be filling the vacancy left by the retirement of Judge Rebollo.
Jeremy Franker has been appointed to serve as a Judge on the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court. Franker has been serving as a County Court Judge for Broward County since his appointment by Governor DeSantis. Prior to that, he worked as a Trial Attorney for the Department of Justice, Criminal Division. Franker earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas and his juris doctor from St. Louis University. He will be filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Haury.
Governor DeSantis has also appointed Jeffrey Hendriks to serve as a Judge on the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court. Hendriks has been serving as a County Court Judge for St. Lucie County since his appointment by Governor DeSantis. Before that, he worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit. Hendriks holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida and a juris doctor from Stetson University. He will be filling the vacancy left by Judge Roby's retirement.

Kaylin Humerickhouse has been appointed to serve as a Judge on Sarasota County Court. Humerickhouse brings experience as an Associate at Bentley, Goodrich, Kison, P.A., and previously served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit. She holds a bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and a juris doctor from Stetson University. Humerickhouse will be filling the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Legler.

He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida and a juris doctor from Samford University. King will be filling the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Gordon.
