Financial Literacy Film Fest debuts in Lost Hills

LOST HILLS, Calif. - EntSun -- April is Financial Literacy Month and the Financial Literacy Film Festival is back!  This year's festival will be held at Lost Hills Union School District's Elementary School, located at 14823 Office Lane in Lost Hills.  Not only will parents, staff and students of the school be able to participate in the festival, the general public is invited to attend, as well.  The event is free to attend.  The festival will be held on Saturday April 20, 2024 from 11 AM to 1 PM.

Mayor Alex Garcia, of the City of Wasco, California, is this year's keynote speaker.  Other participating organizations include the Kern County Sheriff's Office, U.S Bank, Producer/Director J.C Sanchez, Magnitude Visuals, Francisco Mendez of TNE Strategics, The Los Angeles Film School, Producer Freddy Danny Sauceda, Angie's Tax Service, Musician and Anti-Recidivism Advocate M Dot Taylor, U.C Santa Cruz, Fresno Pacific University, KMP Entertainment, and the Hmong Business Incubator Center.

In addition to screenings of various film selections from the festival, attendees are invited to participate in panel discussions and workshops related to not only financial literacy matters like budgeting, investing and entrepreneurship, but also discussions related to anti-recidivism topics such as supportive services and career readiness.

Festival Founder George Ohan was quoted as saying "Our group has become a real world Think Tank for students. We help people achieve their goals."
