Eighth Annual GLOBAL WELLNESS DAY Celebration

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - May 24, 2019 - EntSun -- Saturday, June 8, 2019 will mark the eighth annuals Global Wellness Day (GWD) celebration and the fifth time the special day is being celebrated internationally. This year, the focus of the event will be building communities of wellness. Surviving a life-threatening illness inspired Turkish businesswoman and destination spa owner, Belgin Aksoy, to start GWD. It is her irresistible passion for the cause that has motivated over 100 volunteer ambassadors, advisers and supporters to help make her dream a reality across the globe. The caveat: the annual events organized each year need to be three things: educational, non-commercial and complimentary since Aksoy's motivating belief is that wellness is not a luxury but the inherent right of every individual.

Growing from a celebration at one Turkish spa eight years ago to events in over 150 countries in over 5,000 locations such as hotel/spa chains, fitness centers, yoga studios, associations, foundations, hospitals, schools, senior centers and entire towns -- GWD's overarching motto is "One Day Can Change Your Whole Life!"

Look for the hashtag #globalwellnessday to follow what happens from sunrise to sunset around the globe on June 8.

Canadians will have the opportunity to participate in any number of the following free events:
British Columbia: JW Marriott Parq Vancouver and Eminence Organic Skin Care will team up with Nike Master Trainer and Fitness Influencer, Betina Gozo, to host a rooftop workout. Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver will team up with brands including LuluLemon, NewBalance, Soul Cycle and Barre Fitness to offer a weeklong celebration of wellness. Ronald McDonald House of British Columbia and Yukon will offer families a fresh delivery of local, organic produce to enjoy, courtesy of the Eminence Kids Foundation. Noel Asmar Group, Inc will have a personal trainer visit their corporate office twice during the week.

Manitoba: Ronald McDonald House of Winnipeg will offer families a fresh delivery of local, organic produce to enjoy, courtest of the Eminence Kids Foundation.

Ontario: Four Seasons Corporate Office in Toronto will host a Farmer's Market and various activities including an employee soccer match and yoga.

Quebec: Hotel William Gray in Montreal will be offering yoga classes to hotel guests, friends and employees in its green courtyard.

Prince Edward Island: Cocoon Spa at the Delta will host a breathing class for all employees.
