EdFed to Open New Branch on Miami Dade College Campus

MIAMI - EntSun -- Educational Federal Credit Union (EdFed) is set to open a new branch on the North Campus of Miami Dade College (MDC) on August 22. The location will mark the debut of EdFed's collegiate branch model, designed specifically to support the financial empowerment of college students through the delivery of financial services and education, scholarship programs, and career development opportunities.

EdFed has served MDC since the College opened for classes in 1960. In recent years, the Credit Union has expanded its support to MDC with the installation of EdFed ATMs on all campuses, financial education workshops for students, and a monthly $1,500 College Dreams Scholarship that is exclusively awarded to MDC students to help further their academic and professional goals.

EdFed's branch at MDC North will be the ninth location for the Miami-based credit union, following their expansion into Broward County with the opening of their Miramar Park Place branch in 2024. The Credit Union will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 22, with additional celebrations planned for the week of August 25 to welcome students back to the campus for the fall term.
