Dwaigne Quierra Releases New Single "Don't Be Afraid To Try"

CALGARY, Alberta - EntSun -- Calgary-based indie pop artist Dwaigne Quierra releases his new single "Don't Be Afraid To Try," an upbeat anthem of self-encouragement, written and produced in his bedroom. More often than not, Dwaigne had seen his friends and family hesitate when they want to express their feelings for someone and end up living with that regret. Living with regrets may appear inevitable and natural, but Dwaigne hopes to change that. He hopes his latest single will motivate his listeners to overcome their fears of telling someone how they feel, especially with the current state of affairs in the world.

To celebrate spooky season, Dwaigne has also recently released his take of the Wallows song "Drunk on Halloween." In place of a comforting acoustic guitar and a grandiose horn section as in the original, this self-produced track utilizes an understated arrangement. A smooth marimba and pizzicato violin place Dwaigne's voice in the foreground, making for a soothing recollection of that one fateful Halloween. Dwaigne had previously covered "Drunk on Halloween" last October on his YouTube channel, which captured the attention of Wallows member Braeden Lemasters, who shared the video on his Twitter account. This earlier cover is now approaching 2000 views on YouTube.

Dwaigne Quierra is a Calgary-based artist who makes music in his bedroom. He has made music since he was young, including covers on YouTube, but has only recently started producing and recording his own original music. His dreamy bedroom pop music draws inspiration from his own life experiences - and he hopes that listeners can relate to his lyrics while singing along. Some of his musical inspirations are Wallows, Katy Perry, Conan Gray, Cavetown, mxmtoon, and Rex Orange County.
