Duke Energy Center for the Arts Hosts Contest for Children Charities to Meet & Greet Terry Fator

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - EntSun -- Terry Fator and his puppets are coming to St. Pete and they are offering an opportunity for local children's charities to win an exclusive pre-show meet & greet. Organizations who would enjoy this special experience are encouraged to send an email submission explaining what this opportunity would mean to them and why their kids would love to meet Terry Fator and friends. One charity will be selected with a limit of 30 children and 20 adults to attend a pre-show experience and free admission to the show. The meet and greet will be held on Thursday, November 7th from 5:30-6:00, prior to the show.

Email submissions can be sent to contest@themahaffey.com of no more than 100 words explaining why each organization would love to experience this opportunity. The winner will be selected the morning of Tuesday, November 5th.

Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts supports performing arts programming at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater. We provide arts education programs for youth, community outreach programs, and performances as well as concerts for the entire community with emphasis on diverse programming for youth, underserved audiences and families. Each year more than 20,000 school children are provided a field trip experience to learn Florida State curriculum through a live theater performance. This Class Acts Educational Performance series is in its 27th season and serves students from six counties. Additionally, the Foundation ensures that funding is in place to continue providing diverse programming in the theater for the general public.
