Dranoff 2 Piano brings together Moscow's renowned soloists in "2 Pianos from Russia with Love"

AVENTURA, Fla. - EntSun -- Acclaimed Russian Pianists, Asiya Korepanova and Ilya Kazantsev, will perform the great Russian works of Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich, and Scriabin. Premiering these long-time colleagues first ensemble appearance as a duo.
In "2 Pianos from Russia with Love" on Thursday, February 10th at 7:30pm at the Aventura Cultural Center, the brilliant essential Russian works will be complemented by a world premiere of Ms. Korepanova's original work Con brio.
Korepanova is a piano powerhouse, recognized not only for her achievements as a pianist, but also for her work as a transcriber, composer, visual artist, and poet, reflecting her uncompromising dedication to the arts. Since studying at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory she has enjoyed a top-notch touring career and has garnered national attention with performances at Carnegie Hall, the Barge music series in New York City, the Phillips collection and the International Miami Piano Festival.
Ilya Kazantsev is a fresh and exciting presence on the international music scene and has been described by the Washington Post as "virtually flawless". He's performed extensively with orchestras in Russia and the United States, Germany, Japan, Italy, France, and Canada. In addition to solo work Ilya tours the world with the esteemed Hermitage Piano Trio. The multi-Grammy-nominated pianist Ilya Kazantsev is widely recognized as a member of the Hermitage Piano Trio, a versatile recitalist and pioneer of new music.

They have always enjoyed playing together. Successful career paths brought them to different continents and cities they reconnected in 2019 as new residents of Boston, Massachusetts. Finally able to make their longtime dream come true: they now begin publicly performing as the '88 by 20' duo. Though initial plans were halted by the pandemic, Asiya and Ilya made their public debut at the Third Dimension festival in Oregon in August 2021. They are currently working on their first album program and looking forward to the growing number of performances ahead of them.

All guests age 12+ are required to present documentation (printed or digital) to event staff before entry showing a negative COVID-19 PCR test result conducted within 72 hours prior to the performance or a negative COVID-19 Antigen test result conducted within 24 hours prior to the performance. As an alternative fully vaccinated guests have the option of presenting documentation (printed or digital photo) to event staff showing full vaccination status which includes completion of final dose at least 14 days prior to the performance date. Please be advised that it's the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to communicate these rules to whomever they may be providing tickets.
