PHOENIX - EntSun -- DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Phoenix (https://doubletree3.hilton.com/en/hotels/arizon...) announced today its partnership with Mesa Public Schools to sponsor the "Cookies in Space Student Contest" in celebration of the recent DoubleTree by Hilton announcement that its famous chocolate chip cookie will be the first food baked in space (https://newsroom.hilton.com/doubletree/news/coo...).
Students in grades 6-8 can submit contest entries focused on how they'd envision a hotel in space. Submissions will be received until September 27th, 2019. Hotel team members and guests will then vote on a winner, who will earn a DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie party for their class.
"Our hotel team members and I are very excited to partner with Mesa Public Schools for this fun and educational contest," said Brian Bell, Director of Sales & Marketing, DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Phoenix. "Conrad Hilton envisioned a lunar hotel at the height of the Space Race, so it will be interesting and exciting to see what this generation of thinkers and explorers will create. Community involvement is something that DoubleTree is passionate about and through our CARE committee and Hilton's "Travel With Purpose" mission, we are thrilled to work with Mesa Public Schools for this unique opportunity to engage the next generation of travelers."
