Doctors Launch Online Course to Fight Chronic Inflammation and Disease

FORT MYERS, Fla. - EntSun -- Tame Your Flame, LLC, founded by chiropractors Dr. Louis Scoma and Dr. Eric Gerken, has launched an online e-learning platform at http://www.tamingyourflame.com to coach people on combating chronic inflammation, a leading cause of chronic diseases. 75 percent of the $3.5 trillion of healthcare dollars spent in the United States is for battling chronic disease according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This economic burden is the inspiration behind Taming your Flame.

Taming Your Flame is a series of five lessons that are self-paced. The program includes a self assessment tool to determine a personal baseline, in advance of the taking the five courses, establish a plan and re-assess in the future. Upon completion of the on-line lessons, students will understand the tools and tactics for mitigating chronic inflammation. A certificate of completion will be issued upon successful completion of the online classes signed by both doctors. The course outlines the progression of chronic disease from chronic inflammation to its culmination in named diagnoses such as Alzheimer's, diabetes, obesity, heart, thyroid, and auto-immune disease. This chronic inflammation usually starts with dietary food allergies or sensitivities and stress, in combination with toxins, both internal and external. It always involves the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and imbalances between the external and internal environment, or the Microbiome.
