Composer, Playwright James V. Cockerham Releases New Music

ATLANTA - EntSun -- Composer and playwright James V. Cockerham released his new single entitled WINNER from his multi-genre, multi-generational collaboration, LOOKING, his 5th studio album.It will be released through his new independent record label, Dirty Glasses, LLC, a new partnership formed with his son, Brian Cockerham and Ethan Gouldbourne. The recording will be available for purchase and streaming on all digital platforms.

A prolific composer and playwright, Cockerham produced six albums, four CDs, and four musical stage productions under his record label, CoPro Record Company, Inc.

His most recent work was an original composition of Lift Every Voice and Sing arranged for the Gateways Music Festival and first performed by the Gateways Music Festival Orchestra, conducted by Michael Morgan, on Sunday, August 11, 2019, in Rochester, NY at Eastman School of Music.

James matriculated at Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina, earning a Bachelors's degree in Sociology. 40 years later he earned a Masters Certificate in Orchestration for Film and TV from Berklee College of Music in Boston.
