City of Long Beach to Host Monster Mash Halloween Celebration at Lincoln Park

Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach is gearing up for a spooktacular Halloween celebration as the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) teams up with the Long Beach Public Library to host Monster Mash. This frightfully fun festival will take place at Lincoln Park on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026.

Families are invited to join in on the free festivities at 101 Pacific Ave from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mayor Rex Richardson expressed his excitement for the event, stating that "Monster Mash is a great way for families to come together and get into the Halloween spirit." He also encouraged the community to attend this safe and family-friendly celebration in Downtown Long Beach.

The festival will feature a variety of themed activities including carnival games, balloon animals, a cake walk, and arts and crafts such as a popsicle scarecrow decorating station. Children are encouraged to dress up in their most creative and family-friendly costumes for a chance to participate in a costume parade. They can also join in on a trick-or-treat hunt inside the adjacent Billie Jean King Main Library from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Attendees can also look forward to winning prizes by completing activities listed on their Monster Mash passport and dropping their earned opportunity drawing tickets into their preferred prize basket. To receive a passport, attendees must check-in upon arrival and receive a bracelet. Free parking will be available at the Civic Center Parking Garage for the duration of the event.
