Blaze Fire Games and CheckpointXP Announce The #MyHBCUGotEsportsGame Tour

MINNEAPOLIS - EntSun -- Blaze Fire Games, a licensed digital online game provider, and developer of micro-credentialing esports courses for students,  CheckpointXP®, the multimedia video game, and esports content arm of Beasley Esports in tandem announce the #MyHBCUGotEsportsGameTour. The educational and competitive college esports experience featuring 25 participating Historically Black Colleges and Universities will officially launch this year.

The tour, produced by Blaze Fire Games, will consist of 2-day virtual events including an esports panel discussion, a student-hosted show with guest appearances from student and professional athletes, and esports competitions. One hundred Esports curriculum scholarships will be awarded to each of the 25 participating schools. CheckpointXP® and CheckpointXP On Campus® have been selected as the lead media and content partner for the Tour and will control all coverage for the tournaments.

We are especially excited that we have the support of the NBA2K and the National Basketball Players Association as we bring this to life on HBCU campuses," stated Isiah Reese, CEO, and Co-Founder of Blaze Fire Games.  As a direct result of that support, the Tour will kick off with an NBA2K Esports weekend.  This will be the first NBA2K Esports event to take place across all 11 MEAC schools.  As the Tour schedule progresses, NBA2K Tournaments will be featured prominently in all weekend events.
