Beloved Holiday Classic Sanders Family Christmas Returns to The Strand Theatre
MARIETTA, GA | October 1, 2025 — The Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre is excited to announce the return of the beloved musical Sanders Family Christmas, running from November 7 to November 23, 2025. This heartwarming holiday production promises an evening filled with laughter, music, and cherished family moments that capture the true spirit of the season.
Set on Christmas Eve in 1941, as America enters World War II, the Sanders Family and Reverend Mervin Oglethorpe gather at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Dennis Sanders is preparing to join the fight, prompting his family to come together for one last holiday revival performance. The show features a mix of humorous and poignant stories, along with beloved Southern Gospel Christmas favorites, making Sanders Family Christmas a cherished classic that delights audiences of all ages.

Director Cindi Costoulas shares her passion for the production, stating, "Bringing this music to life on stage feels like coming home. It's wonderful to see audiences, both old and new, connect with the characters and the heartfelt stories. The cast brings incredible talent and authenticity, balancing humor and emotion beautifully."
The talented cast includes Domenic Jungling as Reverend Oglethorpe, J. Michael Bonnette as Burl Sanders, Annie Cook as Vera Sanders, London McKenna as June Sanders, Luke Kasner as Dennis Sanders, Isabella Engberg as Denise Sanders, and Allen Harbold as Stanley Sanders.
Following Sanders Family Christmas, The Strand's theatrical season will continue with A Christmas Tradition from December 12 to December 21, 2025.
