Art Takes Over Main Street at the 49th Annual Downers Grove Fine Arts Festival, Sept. 12-13, 2026

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. - EntSun -- Art, music and creativity will fill Main Street when the 49th Annual Downers Grove Fine Arts Festival returns to Downtown Downers Grove on September 12-13, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Attendees can explore a diverse range of mediums including painting, sculpture, wood, photography, fiber, ceramics, jewelry and more from 50+ juried artists. Whether you're searching for a statement piece for your home, a one-of-a-kind gift or simply looking to spend a beautiful day downtown Downers Grove, there will be plenty to discover.
Local Talent Takes the Stage
The creativity doesn't stop with the artwork! Live entertainment will keep Main Street lively throughout the weekend, including performances by two talented local District 99 students. Briley Steffes will perform Saturday afternoon, while Luca Ruiz will take the stage Sunday morning.
The weekend's entertainment lineup also includes Keithen Banks, John Crean, Phil Partynski, Tony Cortina and Scott Allen, bringing even more local talent and live music to the festival.

Something for the Kids, Too!
There is plenty of fun for our youngest festival-goers! Kids can get creative with a free children's art activity, at the Kids' Craft Booth (located near the northeast corner of Main and Curtiss), sponsored by the Indian Boundary YMCA.
On Saturday, September 12, stop by Smile Downers Grove, 5149 Main Street, for face painting, balloons and games from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m or while supplies last.
Then on Sunday, September 13, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., strike a pose with a superhero, princess, or both!
Make a Day of It Downtown
In between artist booths and live performances, visitors are encouraged to explore downtown's locally owned boutiques and shops, grab lunch or dinner at a favorite restaurant, discover someplace new and enjoy a full day in the heart of the community.
The 49th Annual Downers Grove Fine Arts Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13. Admission is free and all are welcome.
