American Momentum Bank promotes Caleb Shafer to Lubbock market president

LUBBOCK, Texas - EntSun -- American Momentum Bank has promoted Caleb Shafer to Lubbock market president. In his new role, Shafer will be responsible for business development for the bank in Lubbock and the surrounding area.

Shafer, who previously served as a commercial relationship manager at American Momentum Bank, has worked in banking since 2006. He joined American Momentum Bank following its 2019 acquisition of Commercial State Bank, where he served as a commercial lender. He previously held commercial lending roles with Prosperity Bank and American State Bank.

"Caleb's extensive commercial lending experience and deep knowledge of the Lubbock market make him well suited to lead our continued growth in the region," said Mike Collins, chief lending officer at American Momentum Bank. Throughout his career, Shafer has developed lending experience across a range of industries, including commercial and residential real estate development and construction, manufacturing and energy.

Shafer earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in international business from Texas Tech University in 2004. He is also a 2008 graduate of the Texas Tech School of Banking.

Active in the Lubbock community, Shafer currently serves as treasurer and a board member of the Lubbock Downtown Chapter of AMBUCS. His previous community involvement includes membership in Lions Club and participation in United Way's Loaned Executive Program, as well as its Stewardship and Agency Review.
