Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Int'l President & CEO Charletta W. Jacks Named 2026 LEDI Honoree

ATLANTA - EntSun -- Charletta Wilson Jacks, the 32nd International President and Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® (AKA) and long-time public servant, has been selected as a 2026 LEDI International Life Changer Award Honoree.

Ms. Jacks will be celebrated at the 11th Annual LEDI International Life Changers Awards and Fundraising Gala, themed "We Are The Light," on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 5:30 PM at the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway Hotel in College Park, Georgia. The black-tie event features Co-Chairs Ambassador Andrew J. Young, former U.S. Ambassador to the UN and civil rights icon, and Virginia W. Harris, National President of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc.

A transformational strategist celebrating 50 years of AKA membership, Wilson Jacks leads over 390,000 women globally. Her public service includes 21 years with the City of Atlanta, serving as Deputy Director of Government Affairs under Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, managing $650M+ budgets, and as the first African American woman appointed as the City's Zoning Administrator. A recipient of the prestigious Phoenix Award and a citywide Proclamation Day in her honor, Wilson Jacks holds degrees from Howard University and Clark Atlanta University.
