So, you have made Air Canada reservations and want to know every single detail about the baggage allowance of your next flight. Carry-on baggage
Passengers can bring one personal item and one carry-on item on-board. This personal item could be anything, such as a laptop bag, purse, and camera bag.
Dimensions of carry-on baggage must not exceed 21.5 x 9 x 15.5 inches or 55 x 23 x 40 cm.
The maximum dimensions of personal items should be 13 x6 x 17 inches or 33 x 16 x 43 cm.
These items are required to fit under your seat or in overhead bins.

Items that surpass the dimensions of carry-on luggage, may need to be checked.
If you are traveling with an infant, you are allowed to take an extra standard item, such as a diaper bag.
Checked baggage
The maximum dimension of checked baggage should be 292 cm, or its maximum weight should be 32 kg or 70 lbs. Limitations on checked baggage depending on the route you are travelling.
For an over-sized bag, you will be charged with $115.
Eligible (retired or active) members of the US and Canadian military are entitled to bring three pieces of checked baggage. Military ID is required for this.
Hunting and sporting equipment will incur a cost from $50 to $177 per piece of baggage. Pre-arrange your items at least 24 hours in advance.
Check your luggage in advance to avoid any last-minute hassle.
Restricted items on Air Canada
There are some of the items that you are not allowed to bring on-board, some of them are-
Passengers cannot carry a gel or liquid items that are more than 3.4 oz or 100 ml/100 g in their carry-on luggage. Any gel or liquid item exceeding this limit will be seized at a security checkpoint.
Mobility aids are allowed to bring on-board. Pressurized oxygen canisters can be brought if required for health reasons. In this case, you have to notify Air Canada at least 48 to 72 hours before the departure of the flight, depending on your flight.

Camping equipment such as flammable or explosive items, gas cartridges, fuel tablets, or some types of paint are not allowed on-board. Blades that exceed the limit of 6 cm are not permitted on-board.
Don't carry all these items on-board as the airline won't accept this.
