EntSun News/10815712
GLENDALE, Calif. - EntSun -- Covid- 19 has impacted more communities, countries than any known natural disaster or virus. The pandemic has brought the economy to a screeching halt, put significant stress to medical resources and is challenging infectious disease specialists. This virus has put life on hold for millions around the world.
The tech community has reacted to the spread of the virus such as by enforcing work from home policies and providing relief funds for employees impacted by the virus. Alexis Ohanian co-founder of Reddit and Initialized personally took out ads in Times Square to raise public awareness of the importance of staying at home and as a result saving lives.
Scylla, a weapon and threat detection AI software company from of Glendale, CA, founded by Armenian entrepreneurs, has donated masks to schools, first responders and hospitals to help those serving in the front lines deal with potential Covid-19 exposure. Scylla identified that the virus caused similar patterns of mass fear and anxiety as mass shootings.

As the team at Scylla had their last inhouse team meeting to go over work from home guidelines and a strategy to deal with Covid-19 moving forward. Albert Stepanyan, CEO, realized that the use of Scylla's artificial intelligence software could thermally scan large crowds to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and other infections for which fever is an indicator.
Scylla adds the Corona Scan to their existing weapon and threat detection software, that has experienced a 200% increase in the last year and is active worldwide. Scylla has more than 5000 deployments worldwide and Proof of Concept installations launched at Casino Resorts in Las Vegas and at one of the largest school districts nationwide. The proprietary thermal body heat scanner software, "Corona Scan", will help businesses, hospitals, airports and other institutions get back to normal daily activity. As the "Corona Scan" scans the crowd for indicators of high fevers it will detect and identify at risk individuals and serve on the front lines as a means of prevention.
