Join us in tribute to African American pursuits of excellence and accomplishment in Silicon Valley. Adinkra Research Project connects the puzzle pieces explaining the history of African American presence, influence, and areas of contribution.
DUBLIN, Calif. - Oct. 11, 2016 - EntSun -- Through PRIDE Museum's ADINKRA RESEARCH PROJECT, we revitalize interest in Silicon Valley's history of African American innovators by honoring their contributions and exploring the social impact of their presence in colleges, universities, graduate schools, laboratories, manufacturing, test floors, conferences and boardrooms, and examine the evolution of our communities and the lives of our families over the generations.
Adinkra Research Project provides historical insights:
– Generates interest in accomplishments of African Americans
– Visual snapshot of African American presence in Silicon Valley
– Features contributions of individuals past and present

Currently, little is discussed, recalled or documented regarding the connection between the African American professional workforce and Silicon Valley. The Adinkra Research Project illustrates the productive and profitable impact of African American professionals on Silicon Valley's technical and scientific past and present.

The mission of PRIDE Museum is to PRESERVE the history of African American technical and scientific pioneers in California's Silicon Valley, RESEARCH their footpaths of innovation, INVOLVE the minds of youth in understanding the magnitude of the achievements, DEVELOP broad educational collaborations and community partnerships and ENRICH the lives of youth and their families with success models that will impact generations. Our agenda focuses on building understanding and appreciation of our human condition while harvesting participation in improving the world. We support positive character and academic traits by providing thought-provoking concepts and interactive leadership programs.

PRIDE Museum is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization in motion that delivers exposure to youth (Grades K-12) on technology and science education with a focus on the contributions of African American innovators to Silicon Valley. Through leadership, education and support we inspire youth to embrace new concepts and emerging technology, build strong interpersonal skills, positive social friendships, establish goals, follow through on commitments, understand their obligation to contribute to the success of our society and instill a sense of hope in the future.
PRIDE Museum Learning Programs are FREE to youth. Our community partnerships with museums, planetariums, space centers, corporations, laboratories, universities, libraries, civic organizations, volunteer professionals, etc., provide our group with personal tours and special events to continuously explore the varied & extensive educational services available from their public and private venues.
