Record-breaking innings of 288 (111) featuring 36 fours and 13 sixes makes Devahans Sahoo the highest individual scorer in UAE Under-15 cricket history.
AJMAN, UAE - EntSun -- In one of the most extraordinary batting performances ever witnessed in youth cricket, 14-year-old Devahans Sahoo delivered a historic innings at the Emirates Cricket Board's National Inter-Academy League, held at the Ajman Oval Ground. Facing one of the strongest bowling attacks in the tournament, Devahans blazed an astonishing 288 runs off just 111 balls, including 36 fours and 13 sixes, at an explosive strike rate of 260.36.
His record-breaking knock powered his team to a monumental total of 442 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets, setting a new benchmark in the Under-15 division and rewriting the record books of UAE cricket.
The league, which featured 60 teams from across the Emirates, is known for nurturing the nation's finest young cricketing talent. However, Devahans' innings stood apart — a rare combination of technical brilliance, raw power, and mental composure — earning admiration from fans, coaches, and cricket officials alike.
