11th Edition of Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today fellowship at 18th Annual Hola Mexico Film Festival

LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- The 18th annual Hola México Film Festival presented by Toyota All-Electric Family, proudly celebrates the 11th edition of its career development program, Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today (TFT), during Hispanic Heritage Month.

TFT is a fully funded, immersive 10-day fellowship that selects emerging Latino filmmakers each year from California, Florida, many other U.S. states, and Latin America. The program is designed to foster creative collaboration, professional development, and lifelong connections among participants, while providing unique access to industry leaders, executives, and directors across the United States, Mexico, and Latin America.

Over the past decade, TFT has cultivated a tight-knit network of 180 alumni, many of whom have gone on to successful careers in film and television. This alumni network continues to thrive, with graduates collaborating on projects and supporting one another in their professional journeys.

"This program may be small in size, but its impact is monumental, said Diana Luna, Head of the TFT Board and Executive Director of NALIP. "I am incredibly proud of TFT and the way it has connected generations of Latino filmmakers. The relationships and bonds formed here extend far beyond the program itself, with alumni continuing to champion, inspire, and support one another as they advance their careers. It's a powerful testament to the lasting impact of mentorship, meaningful connection, and a committed community."

This year 18 selected TFT participants showcase their work at the Hola Mexico Film Festival and engage in meaningful networking opportunities with industry professionals.
This year's cohort represents a vibrant cross-section of emerging Latino filmmakers, bringing bold perspectives to the forefront of the entertainment industry.

Through a fully funded fellowship made possible by the generous support of the Golden Globes Foundation and the Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Los Angeles (DCA), TFT ensures that financial barriers do not stand between emerging talent and the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to grow their careers.

Founded in 2008, Hola Mexico Film Festival, the largest Mexican Film Festival outside of Mexico, strives to highlight the best and brightest talents in Mexican cinematography. Spanning comedies, dramas, horror films, and documentaries, the festival showcases high-quality films in a festive atmosphere in conjunction with exclusive parties and outdoor concerts.

Samuel Douek, Founder & Director of the HMFF earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from Mexico City's Anahuac University and his master's degree in Event Management in Sydney, Australia, where he founded Hola Mexico Film Festival. The festival has since grown into the largest of its kind outside of Mexico and is now a celebrated, yearly tradition held in the capital of the worldwide film industry, Los Angeles, CA.
