Women's Orchestra Of Arizona Kicks Off 10th Anniversary Season With High-Energy "Let's Dance"

The celebratory season opener will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Peace in the Desert Church (formerly North Scottsdale United Methodist Church).

The carefully curated program features a sweeping array of masterworks, from the slow, hypnotic build of Maurice Ravel's legendary Boléro to the fiery, dramatic flair of Astor Piazzolla's Libertango.

The orchestra will also bring to life the lush power of Sergei Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances (Mvt. 1), the vibrant, syncopated energy of Arturo Márquez's Danzón No. 2, and the rich, uniquely American soundscapes of trailblazing composer Florence Price's Symphonic Dances.

"We wanted to launch our anniversary with a program that is pure energy and joy.
