Warrior Homes of Collier receives $18,000 from the Vasari Cares Foundation, support the Zulu Project
EntSun News/11087097
NAPLES, Fla. - EntSun -- Warrior Homes of Collier received an $18,000 grant from the Vasari Cares Foundation to support the Zulu Project, the nonprofit's latest efforts to end veteran homelessness in Collier County.
The Zulu Project, a renovation of a 10-unit apartment building that will house 20 veterans beginning no later than mid-2026, is currently underway in Naples. The grant will help cover the cost of non-capital expenses, such as furnishings, utilities and providing move-in day assistance – all critical components for these homes.
"We truly appreciate the support and assistance that the Vasari Cares Foundation has given our organization," said Dale Mullin, a retired Vietnam veteran, founder and president of Warrior Homes of Collier. "With the help of the foundation, and others like it, we are able to continue our mission and look forward to reaching 'functional zero' for veteran homelessness in Collier County."
Warrior Homes of Collier operates six Naples residences for local veterans: Alpha House, a short-term, transitional home for those in recovery from substance-use issues; Delta House, a supportive housing complex with 10 apartments for up to 20 veterans; as well as Bravo, Charlie, Echo and Foxtrot Houses, which provide long-term supportive housing for Veterans.
