Trevor Mallory Outraises City Council Opponents for Second Quarter in a Row
EntSun News/11095491
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - EntSun -- Since entering the race for St. Petersburg City Council, District 6, Trevor Mallory has consistently outraised his opponents. He now has more cash on hand than any of his opponents, including two who have been in the race since last Summer.
Mallory filed to run for City Council on February 17. During the second half of Q1 2026, he raised $20,135. By comparison, competing candidates Terri Balliet and Linsey Grove raised $11,160 and $10,441 respectively in Q1 — just over half the dollars in twice the time. Jameka Williams raised $3,441.
Now Q2 reports are in, and Mallory doubled Balliet and Grove's fundraising again. Mallory raised $11,800. Balliet raised just $4,249. Grove raised a little less, $3,979. A new candidate, conservative Doug Homeyer, entered the race during this period. Homeyer put up reasonably strong fundraising: $10,476 — still less than Mallory.
Mallory has been in the D6 Council race for four months. Candidates Terri Balliet and Linsey Grove, by comparison, have both been running for about a year. But Mallory's total fundraising of $31,935 has already surpassed Grove, who has raised $25,575 overall, and he is rapidly approaching Balliet, who has raised $46,432.

Balliet, the biggest raiser overall, has also been the biggest spender, having spent $31,247.73 so far, more than half of that to Blue Velocity Consulting, a South Florida political consulting firm. That leaves her with just $15,184.27 cash on hand going into election season. That's less than Mallory's $18,379.43 cash on hand, and the gap appears poised to grow.
Grove has $11,752.91 cash on hand, Homeyer has $7,441.48, and Williams has 3,022.69.
Mallory's strong fundraising comes on the heels of his recent endorsement by Gulfport Councilmember Nancy Earley, Gulfport Councilmember Jennifer Daunch, and former Gulfport Councilmember April Thanos. They join former St. Petersburg Councilmember Karl Nurse, who formerly represented District 6, in supporting Mallory for City Council.
Mallory was also endorsed by community leaders, including Dr. Basha Jordan, Torrie Jasuwan, Armando Grundy-Gomes, Pastor Manuel Sykes, and Pastor G. Gregg Murray.
Mallory works as the President of Neighborhood Home Solutions, where he helps locals achieve home ownership. He graduated from Lakewood High and was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays after graduation. After playing professional baseball, Mallory returned home to St. Pete to build a life of public service and entrepreneurship. He worked directly to create affordable housing and built multiple local businesses. Mallory has served on multiple boards for the City of St. Petersburg including the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee.
