~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Clinton "Clint" Davis as the new Judge of the 173rd Judicial District Court in Henderson County. Davis, who hails from Malakoff, will serve a term that is set to expire on December 31, 2026, or until his successor is duly elected and qualified.

Davis brings with him a wealth of experience as the county attorney in Henderson County. He is also a member of various legal organizations such as the State Bar of Texas, the Federalist Society, and the Henderson County Bar Association. In addition to his legal work, Davis is actively involved in his community as a board member and vice president of Family Circle of Care, board president of the Family Peace Project Inc., and a member of Kiwanis International.
