Tech Executive Leads Nonprofit Feeding Thousands in India

The organization grew out of a COVID-19 relief effort in 2020, when Alwyn rallied friends in the United States and around the world to provide monthly grocery packages to nearly 3,000 families whose livelihoods had been disrupted. Seeing the depth of the need, he and longtime friend Clement Barnabas formally established Abundance Kitchen in 2023.

Today, the organization works across approximately 45 slums and villages through three core pillars: food, clothing and education. It provides nutritious weekend meals to children, distributes clothing and school supply kits, and is expanding into vocational and livelihood programs designed to help vulnerable students break cycles of poverty.

Clement, who has spent years in community service and lives among the communities served, helps ensure support reaches genuine beneficiaries.

Abundance Kitchen seeks to direct at least 95% of contributions to beneficiaries, with Alwyn personally covering much of the administrative overhead. Its long-term goal is to impact one million lives by 2035 and build a pay-it-forward model where today's beneficiaries become tomorrow's volunteers.
