Teachers2You Foundation Closes Student Opportunity Gap

LAS VEGAS - EntSun -- - The academic coaching business Teachers2You has recently created a 501©3 non-profit organization. The Teachers2You Foundation was formed to bridge the gaps between school and home, specifically geared towards disadvantaged student populations and ultimately closing the opportunity gap. They work with schools to identify low income students, students with disabilities, English learners, racial and ethnic minorities, students experiencing homelessness, foster care youth, and neglected or delinquent youth in detention centers and prisons who need academic coaching and tutoring.

"The pandemic has really complicated things for unaccompanied minors, at risk and low-income students in particular," said Brandy Tillmon, Co-Founder of Teachers2You Foundation. "Some students come from single parent families or even two parent households and they are just trying to keep their heads above water during these extremely difficult times. Our foundation is here to help provide them with encouragement and support in the form of academic coaching services. These children can learn problem-solving skills, and negotiate their own success through self -empowerment in the comfort of their own homes while decreasing the spread of COVID-19 and making it possible for families that may have members of their home with compromised immune systems."

The goal of the Teachers2You Foundation is to provide students with a personalized learning experience. By identifying the unique ways that children learn, and providing more personal attention, they inspire children to be more confident learners. They have been successful in helping students during this new age of distance learning.

The Teachers2You Foundation is seeking support in the form of sponsorships, grants, and donations to compensate the academic coaches they employ to tutor students.

"We can't do this without you," Tillmon said. "In order to provide academic coaches for these children, we need your support. These children deserve educational support, but they are in danger of falling through the cracks. We would appreciate your support so we can reach more students."
