Tacoma: Murder Arrest Made in Connection to April Missing Person Investigation

On April 1, 2026, South Sound 911 received information regarding a possible missing person. Officers conducted a welfare check at the provided address and determined the individual was not there. A report was completed and assigned to Tacoma Police Detectives for further investigation.

During the course of the investigation, detectives developed probable cause to arrest an adult male suspect on charges of Identity Theft x2 – DV and Felony Harassment – DV. On May 15, 2026, detectives took the suspect into custody and booked him into the Pierce County Jail on those charges. The suspect was released from custody on Monday, May 18, 2026.

Detectives continued their investigation and later developed probable cause for Murder in the First Degree. On May 20, 2026, detectives located and arrested the same suspect following a brief foot pursuit. He was booked into the Pierce County Jail for Murder in the First Degree.
