Spokane: Incorrect Info Regarding Downgraded Evacuation Status on Popular App

~ Last night, residents of the 5 Mile Prairie area were left confused and concerned after receiving false information about the evacuation status of their homes. According to Lt. T. Preuninger, a significant number of neighbors contacted the SPD after an APP showed that their area had been downgraded to a Level 2 evacuation. However, upon further investigation, it was discovered that the information was incorrect and that Five Mile Prairie is still a Level 3 Zone. The APP in question is a well-known and popular site, leading authorities to believe that the misinformation was not intentional. In light of this incident, community members are urged to confirm their evacuation status on designated sites such as the Official Evacuation Map provided by SREC 911 before attempting to return home.
