SSO presents a special chamber orchestra concert featuring pianist Jenny Soonjin Kim
ONTARIO, Calif. - EntSun -- The Southland Symphony Orchestra proudly presents a Southland Symphony Chamber Orchestra Special Event Concert on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 4:00 PM in Morgan Auditorium at the University of La Verne.
This elegant afternoon program will feature internationally acclaimed pianist Jenny Soonjin Kim performing Mozart's dramatic and deeply expressive Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor, K. 466 — one of Mozart's most beloved and emotionally powerful concertos. The concert will also include Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 in C major, Op. 21, a work that bridges the Classical and Romantic eras with brilliance, energy, and youthful boldness.
The performance will be led by Southland Symphony Orchestra Music Director and Conductor Dr. Sylvia Lee Mann, whose artistic leadership continues the orchestra's mission of presenting great orchestral music with both artistic excellence and community accessibility.
Praised for her expressive artistry and commanding technique, pianist Jenny Soonjin Kim has appeared internationally as soloist and chamber musician. Her performance of Mozart's Concerto No. 20 promises an afternoon of virtuosity, elegance, and emotional depth.
