Snow Predicted at Marina Village in Riviera Beach, Florida

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - EntSun -- Families, couples, kids, teens and even folks flying solo will all converge on Marina Village at 190 E. 13th Street, Riviera Beach, FL 33404, Friday night, December 6 from 6-9pm for a host of family-friendly activities and entertainment so jubilant that even the Grinches among us are sure to get into the spirit.

Slated activities include: a 7pm tree-lighting ceremony; live band and choir music; a drumline; FREE photo ops with Santa and Mrs. Claus; a parade with firetrucks; holiday shopping at the TikiMarket; caroling; hot cocoa, cookies and gifts for the first 500 kids; train rides; an adult tent with live jazz; a South Florida-style holiday snowfall; and more!

"We put on a lot of events here at Marina Village that draw a great deal of folks from the surrounding community, but the holidays really tend to get people up off the couch and in the spirit," says Scott Evans, Interim Executive Director of the Riviera Beach CRA. "We're keeping our fingers crossed for cold weather to accompany the holiday 'snowfall' we have planned. This is going to be fun for families on a whole other level."

The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency

The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is at the heart of dramatic transformations underway within its district.  Formed in 1984 by the Riviera Beach City Council, the Riviera Beach CRA provides funding for a wide scope of projects that incentivize economic growth through business attraction and retention; finances new and improved infrastructure for real estate projects; and generally works to expand the tax base by creating a welcoming environment that eliminates blight and improves the perception of safety in the area.
