RevArt Presents Roots and Routes: A Captivating Exhibition About Humanity's Journey in Plano Texas
EntSun News/11048678
PLANO, Texas - EntSun -- RevArt is thrilled to announce Roots and Routes, a dynamic duo exhibition that delves into themes of identity, place, and history. Showcasing the works of Sudeep Kumar and Kathryn Humphrey, the exhibition runs from February 21 to April 18, 2025, with a special opening reception on Friday, February 21, from 5 to 8 PM.
Roots and Routes invites viewers on a journey to explore the connections between personal experiences and collective heritage. Through their distinct artistic lenses, Kumar and Humphrey examine how humanity's roots shape the paths we navigate today.
Sudeep Kumar, a Frisco-based painter and urban sketcher, presents his watercolor series Under Construction, which captures the energy of urban growth. His vibrant depictions of construction sites and industrial zones reveal the beauty in places often overlooked. "In a rapidly growing city like Plano, I hope my art inspires viewers to pause and reconnect with the overlooked beauty of their surroundings," says Kumar. "My work encourages reflection and invites people to see their environment with fresh eyes and renewed appreciation."

Kathryn Humphrey, a multidisciplinary artist, presents her series Ghost Tribe, which reimagines tribal masks as contemporary artifacts. Drawing on her background in ancient art history and her fascination with origin stories, Humphrey blends traditional designs with a modern aesthetic, crafting pieces from upcycled materials. "I've always been inspired by ancient tribal masks and representations of the human face," Humphrey explains. "These works transcend cultural boundaries while avoiding specific appropriation, offering a timeless connection that fits within contemporary spaces."
"This exhibition is a celebration of humanity's journey—rooted in our shared past and shaped by the paths we create," says Patti Pan, curator at RevArt.
The opening reception will feature a chance to meet the artists and gain insights into their creative processes. Roots and Routes is free and open to the public.
