Registration now open for Oct. 10 Partners Pink Run

FORT MYERS, Fla. - EntSun -- Breast cancer supporters, survivors and fighters are invited to run, walk and celebrate for a cause at Partners for Breast Cancer Care's annual Partners Pink Run on Saturday, Oct. 10.

The only nonprofit in Southwest Florida of its kind, Partners for Breast Cancer Care works to provide no-cost breast care to uninsured and limited-income women and men in Collier, Lee, Hendry, Glades and Charlotte counties. The organization funds breast screening, diagnostic testing, treatment, surgery and care navigation for qualifying clients, with a mission to rule out or diagnose breast cancer as early as possible.

Hosted at Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers, the event features a 5K run or a one-mile walk for participants to choose from. The 5K begins at 8 a.m., and the one-mile walk starts at 8:10 a.m. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three male and female racers, and the top three male and female racers in each age group will also receive medals.

After the race, participants are invited to enjoy music and entertainment, shop Partners for Breast Cancer Care merchandise and compete in games for all ages, including cornhole and Bra Pong. Refreshments will be available to participants at Tap 42 Craft Kitchen & Bar. In honor of the fight against breast cancer, participants are encouraged to wear pink. Parking will be near McGregor's Public House, Blue Oyster Bar and Grimaldi's.

The Partners Pink Run launched in 2024 with 175 participants as a celebration of hope, strength and unity in the fight against breast cancer. Last year's record-breaking event united 378 participants and raised nearly $10,000 for the organization's life-saving services.

Partners for Breast Cancer Care does not receive federal, state, county or city funding. The organization relies on donations, volunteers and the support of more than 100 health care professionals who generously donate or discount their services to help clients access critical breast care. Through events like the annual Partners Pink Run and the support of donors and discounted services, the organization can provide a full care journey from mammogram to chemotherapy for just $4,450 – without the support of Partners for Breast Cancer Care, the standard cost for a full care journey can exceed $265,000. Since 1990, the organization has funded nearly 30,000 breast care procedures at an expenditure of $3.9 million.
