RecoveryBridge.app Launches Free Peer Support Platform to Connect People in Recovery

RIO RANCHO, N.M. - EntSun -- RecoveryBridge.app, a 100% free digital platform for confidential one-on-one peer support, is now live and connecting people in recovery from addiction with peers who understand the journey firsthand.

Founded by Burk Jackson — sober since October 20, 1994 — RecoveryBridge was born from a simple truth that 31 years of recovery made clear: clinical support and meetings are the infrastructure of recovery, but one-on-one human connection is the fuel that sustains it.

"Recovery doesn't just happen in a meeting room or a therapist's office. It happens at 2 a.m. when you can't sleep and the thoughts won't stop. It happens in the car after a hard conversation. RecoveryBridge exists so that in those moments, you can reach someone who gets it — for free, with no barriers." — Burk Jackson, Founder

What RecoveryBridge Does

RecoveryBridge.app is a Progressive Web App that works on any smartphone, tablet, or computer with no app store download required. Features include:
  • Confidential one-on-one peer support with someone who has lived experience
  • Self-selecting peer matching based on shared experiences, not an algorithm
  • Prompted conversations to make reaching out simple
  • SOS button on every page for immediate access to crisis resources
  • Listener opt-in notifications for peer supporters
  • Two-minute onboarding with no lengthy registration

Why RecoveryBridge Exists

According to SAMHSA, more than 20 million Americans are living in recovery from substance use disorders. While treatment centers, 12-step programs, and clinical resources provide critical structure, they aren't always available in the moments that matter most.

RecoveryBridge fills a gap Jackson calls "the quiet hours" — the stretches between meetings, the late nights, the moments when calling a sponsor feels like too much but sitting alone feels dangerous.

"This isn't a crisis line. It's not therapy. It's not a replacement for anything. It's a buffer — for when you can't reach anyone else, or when you don't want to tell someone in your life what's going on. Sometimes you just need to hear from someone who's been there." — Burk Jackson, Founder
