RecallMode Helps Students Study Without Clock-Watching or Forced Timer Interruptions
EntSun News/11101860
The free Chrome extension keeps study timing hidden, lets learners stop at logical points, encourages quiet breaks, and adds optional active recall.
NEW YORK - EntSun -- RecallMode gives students a simpler way to study without watching a countdown, being interrupted in the middle of a thought, or stopping just because a timer reaches zero.
The free Chrome extension keeps study timing in the background. Instead of showing a constantly ticking clock, RecallMode privately schedules the next break and gives a gentle cue when a break becomes due. The learner can then finish the sentence, problem, question, or concept they are working on before starting the break.
That means students can stay focused on the material instead of the timer, preserve natural stopping points, and move into breaks without abruptly abandoning their train of thought.
RecallMode also encourages a short period of quiet rest before returning to study. After the break, an optional active-recall prompt asks the learner to retrieve the main ideas they were just studying before looking back at the material.

For students comparing RecallMode with traditional study timers or Pomodoro-style tools, the main difference is control. RecallMode does not force the learner to stop at an arbitrary second. It provides the cue, while the learner decides when the current thought is complete and the break should begin.
RecallMode includes hidden randomized study intervals, configurable study and break ranges, logical-point break cues, quiet-rest breaks, optional active recall, a persistent Chrome side panel, local session history, focus noise, bundled calm music, and optional experimental audio environments.
Privacy is built into the product. RecallMode does not read the webpages a student is studying, does not access browsing history, and does not send study-session activity to a RecallMode server. Settings, session state, history, and optional recall self-ratings remain stored locally in Chrome.
