According to Kim King, the acting Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services, seasonal employees are essential to the success of summer programs and services. These positions offer not only meaningful work but also valuable hands-on experience and flexible scheduling options. They also provide an opportunity to work outdoors while serving the community.
The positions available range from 10 to 40 hours per week, with most roles starting this spring and continuing through the summer. Some positions may even extend into early fall depending on operational needs. There are opportunities in various program areas such as day camp leaders, golf maintenance workers, historical interpreters at Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site, and park rangers at Garden of the Gods Park and Pikes Peak - America's Mountain.
