The presentation highlights the latest findings from a controlled ex-vivo human skin study designed to evaluate the ability of βSTEM6 to address multiple hallmarks of skin aging through comprehensive immunohistochemical analysis and gene-expression profiling. The study compared βSTEM6 against established industry standards, including retinol and retinoic acid.
Results demonstrated a distinctly different biological profile for βSTEM6. While retinol and retinoic acid produced broad increases in proliferation, stress-response, and turnover-associated genes, βSTEM6 exhibited a highly selective, time-dependent modulation of pathways associated with basal keratinocyte function, cellular adhesion, and senescence. Importantly, these effects were achieved without disrupting normal skin differentiation or epidermal barrier integrity - key indicators of maintaining healthy skin architecture and function.
