EntSun News/11094015
NAPERVILLE, Ill. ~ Naperville, Illinois - The City of Naperville has announced that they are now accepting special event applications for events taking place in the 2027 calendar year. Interested parties must submit their applications through the City's website using the Civic Access portal by Wednesday, July 8.

According to city officials, any outdoor event held on City property, such as streets, sidewalks, and parks, will be considered a special event. Additionally, events that are deemed to have a significant impact on the city will also require a special event permit. This includes events that require street closures (excluding neighborhood block parties), closure of parking facilities or use of city-owned property, and posting of "No Parking, Tow Zones."

To apply for a special event permit, applicants must use the Civic Access portal which gathers all necessary information and allows for easy management of permits. During the application process, four required documents must be uploaded: Special Events Notarized Agreement, Special Events Memorandum of Understanding (new for 2027), Special Event Sustainability Checklist, and a site plan and/or route map.
