Spanning from bay, to beach to the legendary Pinelands; the Southern Ocean Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to take part in time tested and twists on traditions.
SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - EntSun -- There is something salty, sweet and scary happening this October throughout the Long Beach Island Region of the Jersey Coast. With options for all to enjoy tucked throughout corners of this legendary area.
Start off the month Starting off with Hogwarts coming to Anna Banana Bakery in Manahawkin from October 15 to 17 with Sorting Hat cupcakes and other treats to cast a spell on all want to be Wizards.
Hit the chilling waters for Legends and Lore Boat Tour at the Tuckerton Seaport beginning Oct 16 with select days through Halloween. This family friendly boat ride along the Tuckerton Creek includes photo ops, goody bags for kids and a full hour of Jersey Shore and Pineland tales.
October 22 Delights Coffee and Bake Shop will be hosting a movie screening of It's A Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown at 6pm and The Addams Family at 6:30pm in their secret garden, fall crafts and more. October 22 & 23 OPERATION HALLOWEEN 2021 from 4 to 10pm brings out the zombie hoards and other timely scares at Citta Scout Reservation 229 Brookville Road in Barnegat. Admission to Operation Halloween and the Zombie Outbreak (multi-maze scare), Haunted Walk and Munchkin Hayride can be purchased at the event for $15 per person. Halloween activities, food vendors and costumed characters. Coupons for $5 off available at the Southern Ocean Chamber Visitor Center.

Also happening on Oct 23 - No reservations needed for the Ghost Fest at the LBI Historical Museum from noon to 4pm in historic Beach Haven. Come in costume for kids crafts, and museum activities . Make Spooky Ice Cream at The WooHoo. Each participant will make a pint of ice cream with spooky add-ins and flavors! 12pm or 2pm available. Get your tickets in advance for some spooky shows on October 23-24 and 29-31 Surflight Theatre presents War of the Worlds, the panic broadcast reenacted on stage.
For the adults Oct 29 Halloween themed dinner at the Terrace Tavern and Firkin Halloween Bash at the Manafirkin Brewery or Oct 30 go down the Rabbit Hole at Bird & Betty's Halloween Party.
