MCK Cares Celebrates 3rd Anniversary with Charity Event Benefiting Silence The Shame, Inc

EntSun News/11074729
ATLANTA - EntSun -- Taking place at MCK Restaurant & Bar, this elegant and impactful evening will bring together Atlanta's most influential leaders, philanthropists, creatives, and changemakers for an unforgettable experience that blends culture, compassion, and community.

MCK Cares, founded by Mitch Flowers, Chuk Oparah, and Khareem Evelyn, was born from a shared desire to give back to the community that helped MCK Restaurant & Bar thrive. What began as a simple birthday tradition evolved into a citywide initiative of service and social responsibility — with each founder focusing on a unique pillar of giving:
  • Khareem Evelyn — Building Purpose

  • Chuk Oparah — Alleviating Homelessness

  • Mitch Flowers — Mental Health Awareness (2025 Focus)
This milestone event marks a powerful partnership with Silence The Shame, Inc., a global mental health movement founded by entertainment industry veteran and advocate Shanti Das.

This year's campaign builds on that legacy, expanding MCK Cares' reach and impact under the leadership of its Host Committee and Executive Team, featuring Tyler Barker as Sponsorship Chair, Eric Stokes as Host Committee Chair, and Lydia Pierre.

"This year is about more than celebration — it's about connection," said Lydia Pierre, Board Advisor and Mistress of Ceremonies for the MCK Cares campaign. "By partnering with Silence The Shame, we're amplifying the conversation around mental health and using our platform to create safe spaces for healing."

"At MCK Cares, we believe community begins with care — and care begins with conversation," said Eric Stokes, Host Committee & Experience Chair. "Partnering with Silence The Shame allows us to merge culture with compassion and turn our celebration into an opportunity for impact."

The Powerhouse Host Committee, featuring Dona Mathews, K. Botchey, Marquis Williams, Kereen Henry, Alexis Howell, Chantelle Murray, Cindy Wilson, Terell Thomas, Mickey Lee, and Darryl Perkins, will also play a vital role in engaging their networks, mobilizing awareness, and championing the mission of mental health advocacy through this unforgettable evening.
