Marnie & Michael Premiers 2023 Spring Line At One Of A Kind Show

Fashion Retailer Reduces the Stigma of Mental Health One Bag at a Time
TORONTO - EntSun -- Penetanguishene-based artisan leather creator and mental health enterprise Marnie & Michael will be launching their Revival Line at booth M-33 of the Spring One of a Kind (OOAK) Show held from March 29 - April 2, 2023 at Toronto's Enercare Centre.
This will be the first time Founder, Jennifer St. John will be at the OOAK Show and have the opportunity to share Marnie & Michael's products and her platform to increase awareness about mental health, with the hope of reducing the stigma.
"When I launched 'Marnie & Michael' in 2020, attending the One of a Kind Show was a bucket list business goal for me," said St. John. "I am so excited to attend the show and have this opportunity to further share our advocacy work as a mental health give back business."
Currently more than 6.7 million people in Canada live with a mental health condition including youth and adults. Wait lists for support are now typically over two years long. "Growing up, the only constant in my life was instability and I felt shamed into saying nothing; keeping my home life a close secret," said St. John when describing her experience of living with a parent that struggled with mental health. "I am determined to be a part of the conversation and space that is changing this."

Marnie and Michael cultivate a supportive virtual mental health community, including donating up to 15% of all profits from St. John's artisan handbags to mental health initiatives. Marnie & Michael bags are made to order in her artisan studio in Penetanguishene, Ontario.
The Revival collection includes a series of six products, three past design favourites which have been revitalized with a stamped leather croc design and the launch of three brand new designs.
"Our new Revival Collection uses a jaw-dropping stamped croc pattern to create depth, texture and movement," said St. John.
For St. John The One of Kind Show presents an opportunity to connect with thousands of individuals, to share her stunning products, but more importantly, to reduce the stigma of mental health. "I truly believe that one person can make a difference," she shared. "My hope is that by sharing my mental health message, I can help people fear less and listen more."
