March of Dimes Opens Nominations for 26th Annual Heroines of Washington Awards

Earlier nomination period to run from February to May for awards that recognize exceptional local women who give back to the D.C. region
ARLINGTON, Va. - EntSun -- Today, the March of Dimes announced that it is accepting nominations (https://my.reviewr.com/s2/site/heroines_washing...) for the 26th Annual Heroines of Washington Awards. The awards (https://www.marchofdimes.org/events/Event.aspx?...), presented by ASRC Federal, honor local, professional women who dedicate a significant amount of time and resources to giving back to community service organizations in the D.C. region.
Nominees must reside in Maryland, Virginia or Washington, D.C., work in one of the award categories and demonstrate an exemplary commitment to volunteering outside of their professional roles. Self-nominations are welcome, and all nominations are due by May 3, 2026.

The categories are:
"Over the years, the Heroines of Washington Awards have evolved to ensure we're recognizing all of the incredible women in our community and this year is no different," said Jennifer Felix, president and CEO of ASRC Federal and executive committee member of the 2026 Heroines of Washington Awards. "We welcome nominations across industries and hope that by highlighting these stories, we can continue to foster an environment of giving back in the DMV area."
All finalists and winners will be celebrated at a black-tie gala on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Funds from the gala will support March of Dimes programs, research, community services, education and advocacy to support the health of all moms and babies.
