LUKH launches an innovative rental service for Indian fashion
EntSun News/10803960
CHICAGO - EntSun -- LUKH is an online rental service, focused on making Indian fashion accessible to multicultural consumers in the U.S. They are announcing the launch of their platform (www.lukhstudio.com).
There are over 45,000 Indian weddings, each with 2-3 events, in the US each year. The Indian outfits required to attend these weddings are are wildly beautiful, but they're also wildly expensive and inaccessible because trendy options are most commonly found in India or in the US at high costs ($500-$1,200). Also, in today's world of social media, consumers struggle with the pressure of outfit repeating and need an affordable Indian fashion solution.
With the rental marketplace gaining more momentum than ever before, the three female founders of LUKH believed it was about time this concept extended across other cultures. They wanted all women, regardless of ethnicity and socioeconomic background, to look and feel confident at any Indian occasion. This is what inspired the creation of LUKH. By designing their own line of styles and offering an ever-expanding borrowing closet of Indian styles in multiple sizes, they hope to bridge the gap between American and Indian cultures.
