Rock 'n Roll Journeyman and Guitarist to the Stars' Amazing Career Chronicled
POMPTON PLAINS, N.J. - EntSun -- Film Distributor BayView Entertainment is proud to announce the release of Louder Than Rock: the Story of Caleb Quaye, now available to purchase or rent from finer streaming video platforms.
The tune-filled documentary from Executive Producer and Director Valerie J. Tucker is as dynamic as its subject, as sure to inspire viewers to pursue a life in music as it is to make them dance and play air guitar.
As a black man who came up during the rock scene of the 1960s, Quaye was on a very short list of musical acts who weren't relegated to Stax soul or Motown pop. He kept good company alongside other rock guitar legends like Arthur Lee, Willie Chambers, and Jimi Hendrix. With his deft mix of blues, jazz, and rock tones, Caleb was instrumental in creating a new genre of modern music.

Getting his start in the British blues group, Bluesology, one of Quaye's bandmates was keyboardist Reginald Dwight, soon to be rechristened as Elton John. The world has Caleb Quaye to thank for Elton's superstardom. Elton was signed to his first record deal at Dick James Records due to Caleb, and Caleb was his first Producer. Elton fans eager to learn how he became a star won't want to miss the true story of how it all happened. As Stephen James declares in the documentary, "No Caleb, no Elton!"
