Looop Officially Launches a Safety Notifications App for Families Who Care From a Distance

AUSTIN, Texas - EntSun -- LooopApp LLC today officially launched Looop, a safety notifications app for families who care for each other from a distance. After a soft launch on the App Store in May, Looop now sends severe weather alerts in more than 50 countries and nearby crime alerts in all 50 US states, so families know when a call is worth making.

Many adults now care for people in several places at once: kids at college in one state, a parent living alone in another, siblings and friends spread across the country. Looop is built for these families.

"We built Looop for families who live far apart and still want to know how everyone's doing. It tells you when a call is worth making, and everyone else gets on with their day," said the team behind Looop.

Looop learns each Loved One's usual routine and sends a notification when something looks unusual:

• Severe weather alerts: A heads-up when severe weather is heading toward a Loved One, in more than 50 countries.
• Nearby crime alerts: A notification when crime is reported near a Loved One, in all 50 US states.
• Unusual activity nudges: An "Unusual Day" alert when driving, walking, or phone use looks different from that person's normal routine.
• Daily reassurance at a glance: One simple screen that shows who is having a typical day and who might need a look.
• Health & Fitness sharing, optional: Heart rate, sleep, steps, walks, and workouts.
• One-tap check-ins: Call, text, or FaceTime a Loved One straight from their card.
