Kinjari launches ARK, an API-first music distribution backend for independent distributors
EntSun News/11101649
ARK lets distributors keep their own brand and customer experience while Kinjari handles release review, store delivery, catalogue operations, royalty reporting and payouts.
DOVER, Del. - EntSun -- Kinjari Inc has launched ARK, a music distribution API and operations platform built for independent distributors with their own products and customer relationships.
ARK sits behind a distributor's existing website, app or portal. Labels and artists continue working inside that distributor's product and brand, while ARK handles the infrastructure required after a release is submitted.
The platform brings catalogue management, media uploads, human release review, store delivery, sales matching, statements and withdrawals into one backend. Distributors can build their customer workflow through ARK's REST API and use its operations interface when their team needs direct control.
Distribution infrastructure without starting from scratch
Building a music distribution product normally means maintaining catalogue data, delivery routes, release checks, store responses, royalty reporting and payouts. ARK gives independent distributors access to those capabilities through one provider.

The API covers releases, tracks, labels, artists, contributors and genres. Teams can upload audio and artwork, submit releases, request metadata updates or takedowns, and follow each result through signed webhooks.
Every release is reviewed by a person before delivery. ARK returns approval or rejection events to the distributor's product, including review notes when something needs to be corrected.
Once approved, releases can be routed to more than 100 stores and services. Available destinations include Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, YouTube Content ID, TikTok, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Deezer, SoundCloud, Beatport, Volumo and Meta.
Status and reporting stay connected
ARK sends signed webhooks for release approval, rejection, distribution, takedowns and completed deliveries. It also reports when sales files have been processed and monthly statements have been generated.
Incoming sales are matched to the distributor's catalogue and combined into one monthly team statement. After ARK's commission is deducted, the remaining balance can be withdrawn through Wise.
The operations interface gives authorised teams access to catalogue records, deliveries, store activity, API requests, webhook logs, earnings, statements and withdrawals.

Pricing based on catalogue size
ARK costs $199 per month in USD and includes the first 2,000 distributed tracks and all product features.
Additional distributed tracks are charged monthly in graduated bands:
This gives distributors a defined starting cost while allowing the catalogue fee to scale as their business grows.
Available now
ARK is available now for independent music distributors. Teams can connect the API to an existing product or use the operations interface alongside their current workflow.
