~ Bostonians have a variety of healthy activities to look forward to this season, both indoors and outdoors. The Boston Parks and Recreation Department has announced their Winter Fitness Series, which includes a range of classes such as Walking Group, line dancing, Bota Foga, Kids Dance Fitness, Strength and Balance, Tai Chi, Yoga, and more. These classes are designed for all skill levels and ages, with options that are family-friendly and age-friendly. They also welcome those who may be new to fitness.
Interim Commissioner of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, Cathy Baker-Eclipse, expressed her excitement for the upcoming season. She also acknowledged the partnership with the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts that has made these free fitness programs possible.
Bisola Ojikutu MD, MPH, FIDSA, Commissioner of Public Health for the City of Boston also shared her enthusiasm for the Winter Fitness Series.
