Annual initiative inspires kindness, leadership, and community impact
WASHINGTON - EntSun -- WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Junior League of Washington (JLW), a volunteer-powered nonprofit of women dedicated to advancing leadership for lasting community impact, proudly joins Junior League chapters worldwide in celebrating International Find the Good Day™. Taking place on September 18, this annual event shines a spotlight on the power of optimism, kindness, and women's leadership to create meaningful change.
Now more than ever, communities are seeking hope, connection, and resilience. The Junior League created International Find the Good Day™ to inspire individuals to focus on what's working—within themselves, their neighborhoods, and the world. Research shows that optimism can improve health, fuel motivation, and spark collective action—making the "find the good" mindset not just uplifting, but transformative.
"Kindness is contagious," said JLW President Christina Babcock. "One act—no matter how small—can brighten a day, spark a chain reaction of goodwill, and strengthen the bonds of a community. On International Find the Good Day™, we are proud to join leagues around the globe in encouraging everyone to look for and share the good."
