Jeffrey Molter, MSN, MBA, CRNA, Named 2025-26 President of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology

ROSEMONT, Ill., Aug. 13, 2025 ~ The American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Molter, MSN, MBA, CRNA, as the organization's president for the 2025-2026 term. With a membership of over 65,000, AANA is one of the largest professional organizations for nurse anesthetists in the United States.

Molter brings with him over 25 years of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). He began his career at Mt Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland and has since worked at various hospitals and surgery centers across Ohio. Currently, he practices at the Institute of Orthopedic Surgery in Lima, Ohio.

Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to lead AANA, Molter stated, "I am honored to continue serving the profession of nurse anesthesiology as president. I look forward to working with the AANA Board of Directors, staff, and members to advance patient care and support and protect CRNAs."

Molter's involvement with AANA dates back several decades and includes national roles such as Vice President and Region 6 Director on the Board of Directors. He has also served on various committees including State Organizational Development, Finance, Executive, Governance, and Nominating committees.

Known for his expertise in anesthesia care and dedication to supporting and empowering fellow CRNAs during challenging times, Molter has been a vocal advocate for the profession. He has been particularly vocal about issues such as equitable reimbursement and professional recognition for CRNAs. Molter has also been critical of healthcare policies and insurance practices that disadvantage non-physician anesthesia providers.

In addition to his involvement with AANA, Molter has held leadership positions with the Ohio State Association of Nurse Anesthetists (OSANA), including President-elect and Director. He has also served on various committees within OSANA such as State Government Relations, Communications, Finance, and Nominating committees.

Apart from his professional affiliations, Molter is also the co-creator of the Block Pro app, along with fellow CRNA and business partner Scott Urigel. He is also an alumni and guest lecturer at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University.

Molter has been an active member of AANA since 1997. He holds an MBA degree from Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio, a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.

As he takes on his new role as president of AANA, Molter's extensive experience and dedication to the profession make him well-equipped to lead the organization towards its goals. With his visionary leadership and bold advocacy, he aims to ensure access to safe and high-quality anesthesia care for all patients while standing united against provider discrimination.
